TEST ANALYSTS (Equities) - Sydney

This client a major Australian financial giant requires a strong test analyst for a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have come from an investment banking background.

The role will encompass several main tasks including:

- Maintaining the integrity of the team’s core offering, ensuring delivery of software of the highest standard
- Working within the team and business to produce testing deliverables, to include Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Designs (Test Cases and Test Data) and Test Execution Results.
- Executing system, regression, performance and user acceptance testing in accordance with agreed test cases and test plans.
- Attempting to locate and document all software defects within timeframes.
- Assisting in the standardisation and continual improvement of the testing processes and methodology.

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients, the business, developers, senior managers and other team members
- Strong sense of ownership, with a passion for delivering quality
- Experience in preparing test design/test cases and test data
- In depth understanding of testing methodologies and test deliverables.
- Highly self motivated with demonstrable initiative and flexibility.

The ideal candidate will have:

- In-depth testing experience with a background in financial institutions, specifically financial markets.
- Experience with Test Case Management products
- Experience with Test Automation tools
- Experience in preparing test strategies and test plans
- Experience with SQL and Unix scripting.

This 6 month contract opportunity with possibility of extension.
