The role will be responsible for the day to day investment transaction and settlement processing requirements within the Group’s Investment Division.
You will be familiar with operational tasks such as -
· Ensure that all trades in Foreign Currency, Fixed Interest securities and Equity investments are captured within internal control parameters.
· Provide trade confirmations by broker / counterparty within time deadlines.
· Ensure all portfolios are accurately updated following trades and reflect proper positions on a daily basis
· Monitor and facilitate liquidity funding.
· Maintain standard settlement instructions, ISDA documentation and various broker/counterparty data bases..
· Participate in the analysis of any necessary procedures or system changes.
· Perform periodic reconciliations and maintain compliance checklists.
· Implement new systems as required.
· Maintain all records within the Transaction support area.
· Monitor settlement of transactions by Custodian and review any failed trades accordingly.
Day to day task will include ongoing liaison with Custodians, Banks and Brokers. Producing summary and exception reports on scheduled time cycles. Providing transaction related information to Asset Managers within the Group.
Deep knowledge of software applications including Bloomberg POM is essential in addition to developing and maintaining other suitable PC based systems relevant to the transaction support area such as FX Connect.
Clearly your policy and procedures knowledge will be exemplary. Duties such as ensuring that all procedural documentation related to the transactional management of Foreign Currency, Capital Market/ Money Market operations and Equity investments, are continually updated and presented in an appropriate format to internal audit and compliance personnel.
Your will have a sound financial background gained from at least 2 years work experience within a Currency/Treasury Settlements area. Ideally degree qualified in a commercial / finance discipline, with industry registration such as SIA desirable.
Strong understanding of financial markets and settlement procedures across multiple asset sectors. An eye-for-detail and accuracy in processing of information. Self motivated with sound knowledge of Excel based applications and Word functions.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a busy team based environment. Willingness to acquire new responsibilities and progress through the company.
