Regional Head of Shared Services

This organisation is continuing it’s global roll out of the shared service model, creating a shared service function servicing the Asia Pacific Region based in Sydney. Reporting into the Regional Finance Director, this is a new role to drive this business critical initiative.

You will partner closely with the global project team and be responsible for building and developing this model – to aggressive timescales. With a good level of resource this global organisation is fully committed to this model and has a track record of success across other territories. Immediately inheriting 10-15 Accountants you will have the headcount to grow this function to approximately 20-25 heads. This is a set up and build role, as well as an operational management position going forward. Once established you will be responsible for maintaining standard, internal control compliant, finance policies and procedures for all regional accounting activities, including general ledger accounting, accruals, expense management, cash management, and cash applications.

You will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant with exposure to and experience of the shared service model within a multinational environment. Ideally you will have been part of the team, or the lead in setting up a shared service centre. Your technical accounting skills are matched by your ability to manage, mentor and develop large teams. This is a high profile, highly visible role within a global top tier organisation and will give you exposure to senior management and the business across the Asia Pacific region.
