A leader in Australia’s financial services sector has an immediate requirement for Network Engineer.

The focus of this position is to work as part of the team which is responsible for the Australian data network including planning, design, implementation and support of the local and wide area networks.

The successful applicant will be tasked with providing responsive 3rd level support, diagnosing and resolving incidents and monitoring performance and equipment utilisation and perform tuning to obtain optimum efficiency.

This position will also work independently on specific tasks and projects together with maintaining and testing service recovery and business continuity plans.

Applicants for this highly technical role should have commercial IT experience within the finance industry combined with experience in Ethernet networking technologies, IP addressing, TCP/IP, Cisco Router and Switch hardware/software

Those who have CCNA/CCNP certifications and exposure to WAN technologies such as MPLS, Frame-Relay, ISDN will be highly regarded.
