Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

This new role, reporting into the regional CFO will play a critical part in the continuing growth and success of this established software business. With the bulk of the global growth coming out of Asia, the Sydney office will play a pivotal role as the APAC headquarters and afford significant opportunity for this person going forward.

In this position you will partner with an internationally experienced CFO and analyse internal business drivers and external market factors to help drive the business forward. You will interact heavily with the sales team and wider business operations pre and post deal. This is a true commercial finance role allowing you to leverage your technical skills within a business setting. You will be responsible for driving the forecasting and planning process and working with the business to achieve their results. This is a ‘de facto 2iC’ role to the CFO as you will be expected to take on additional responsibility and ‘step up’ when the CFO is travelling.

You will be a CA, CPA, ACMA or CIMA but will no longer consider your self an ‘Accountant”. You will have the technical training, but your strength is in analysing and using the numbers, not delivering them. You will have experience in the technology or professional services space, and ideally will have had some exposure to software or revenue recognition - although this is not mandatory. Experience of license agreements will also be highly regarded. You will have at least 10 years experience and be looking to move into a growth environment and the chance to directly impact the business from a finance perspective.
