International Tax Manager

This leisure services group has continued to grow aggressively over the last few years through organic as well as acquisitive growth throughout UK, Asia and the Middle-East. With a strong share price and war chest for continued acquisitions, this is a new position brought about through a need for a strong tax / advisory professional to support this activity.

Reporting to the Global Finance Director, this is a key role with responsibility for international technical tax accounting and compliance as well as providing tax advisory around structuring and acquisition. From a compliance perspective your area will be responsible for driving the reporting around month, half year and annual results. Ensuring all international requirements are met for the subsidiaries and proving the group with advice on ad hoc taxation projects will be key responsibilities. As well as this traditional tax work, your expertise will help define and underpin acquisition and commercial decisions, and your ability to help structure efficient tax operating models will make you a key member of the management team.

This will suit an individual making their first step out of consultancy. More likely, you are already working in the corporate world in a ‘dry back-office’ tax role with limited exposure to the business and no opportunity to impact the strategy or direction of a business. You have a strong technical background, and are looking to leverage that within a fast moving, growing environment and an organisation where you will be viewed as an integral member of the team. A commercial mindset and external confidence are also key elements to this role.
