Consultant - Employment Solutions - Castle Donington/Birmingham

A Consultant/Manager is required in our Birmingham or East Midlands office to work in a client facing role, within the Employment Solutions division of the Human Resource Services team.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in working with organisations to generate employment cost savings and to reduce employment tax risk.

The Employment Solutions team has a highly impressive diverse client base, including FTSE 100 companies, large inward investors, fast growing entrepreneurial businesses as well as public sector clients such as NHS Trusts, Universities and Local Authorities. As such the team offers high quality and challenging work. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in an extremely varied role which includes a high level of client facing consultancy work.

The Employment Solutions team is part of PwC's rapidly growing HRS practice. ES provides specialist employment taxes and benefits advice as part of a multi-disciplined PwC team able to advise national and global clients on all aspects of the tax and national insurance treatment of cash or share based rewards, expenses and benefits.

As part of a leading edge and growing team, you will responsible for advising clients on employment cost reduction initiatives such as salary sacrifice arrangements, company cars and Flexible Benefits, with a strong background working in the field of employment tax issues, including PAYE, NIC, Benefits in Kind and redundancy and termination advice.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills and may be ATT/CTA qualified or interested in pursuing the qualification.

In addition:

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 year's experience of employment tax issues gained within the profession or HM Revenue & Customs. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a small, dynamic team. Experience of communicating with internal client teams. Evidence of research skills.
